FOUR PLACES IN THE 146TH OPEN ON OFFER AT THE SMBC SINGAPORE OPEN
18 January 2017, Singapore: Four players who finish in the top 12 and ties at the SMBC Singapore Open who are not already exempt will earn a place in The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale from 16-23 July 2017.
The 2017 SMBC Singapore Open is the second event in The Open Qualifying Series and will be played from 19-22 January at Sentosa Golf Club.
Players in the field at the SMBC Singapore Open who are already exempt for The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale:

In the event of a tie for a qualifying place, the player with the higher ranking in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) at the beginning of the week commencing 16 January will be awarded a place in The 146th Open.

The Open
The 146th Open will be played at Royal Birkdale from 16-23 July 2017.
The Open is golf’s oldest championship. Played since 1860 on iconic British and Irish links courses, it is the sport’s most international Major Championship with qualifying events on every continent.
